The University of Warwick Mixed Netball Club has 117 members as of 29th June 2019. This makes it one of the largest sports clubs on campus, offering students the opportunity to participate in regular sporting activity, regardless of skill or fitness level. Many members have no prior netball experience but are drawn to joining the society due the club’s welcoming nature created by the friendly and inclusive exec who run the society. The ethos of our club is to create a balance between a relaxed sports environment and a place to meet friends, often for life. In addition to its academic prowess, Warwick is also recognised for its presence on the courts. Despite primarily being a non-competitive club, we host and play weekly matches at both competitive league and friendly levels. We have a diverse body of students in our club, creating an environment from a huge range of backgrounds. Most members join our club as an opportunity to expand their social network as well as improve their health and fitness. We are passionate about all activities our club undertakes, which range from training session and tournaments to charity events and regular socials. These events are used as an opportunity to take a break from studying. We are an extremely unique society, there are very few other universities who have a Mixed netball club or team. We are also very different to most sports teams at Warwick, we think we strike the perfect balance between relaxed and competitive sport.

Sponsorship through funding or through other means e.g. discounts for our members will help us to develop our club. Discounts and promotions will help entice members to join our club and help us achieve our club development goals. Donations will allow us to purchase equipment that will be available to use for all members; this in turn will help us achieve greater sporting success. Below is a list of where we plan to use sponsorship funding. Please note, all funding will be used to benefit all members of the club as a whole and, will not be spent on individual members or the executive team. Our execs give up their time to make the club a success on a voluntary basis. • Entry fees beneficial to the society-there are fees for entering leagues and tournaments • Coaching/Umpiring courses – currently we do not have a professional coach to run our training sessions, however, we would like to have our captain and vice-captain trained as umpires as this will help us hold more professional training sessions and host tournaments • On campus Careers/Networking events – this year we would like to work with our sponsor in providing our members careers support by hosting careers sessions. • Transport to perform in Competitions • Website Development • Printing Costs for campaigns • Potential equipment/ replacing old worn equipment
