The Society was founded for the purpose of applying knowledge undergraduates gain throughout their degrees to real world problems resulting in something physical to show for their efforts. The idea being carry out interesting and ambitious projects akin to the kinds of projects that would have inspired so many of us to follow a career in a STEM pathway in the beginning. Curiosity will run one large scale, long term project throughout the entirety of an academic year and a series of weekly events with small projects to be completed within a few hours with the general theme of each project being deeply rooted in STEM fields.

Sponsor Logos on society clothing, media publications and handouts. Society members will be made aware of any events the sponsor may be hosting and such events would be advertised on society media outlets. Since the society is aiming to attend the national IMechE annual competitions, the sponsor will also receive exposure at more prestigious events through society uniform. Depending on the sponsor, their equipment could also make a debut in society projects as further advertisement. Products resulting from our projects will also bare the logo of our sponsor for example the UAV for our main project. (see use of funding)
£1850 for our year long project (see section on use of funding) £150 for equipment to be used in weekly events
Our main event this year will be the Institute of Mechanical Engineer's annual competition, where our team will construct a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) capable of providing aerial humanitarian support in a natural disaster situation. As seen in the cost section the majority of the funding we seek will go to this large project. The rest of the money will go to our weekly events, being the smaller scale projects and various other social events.
